I’ve been waiting since 2010 so finally, Two Door Cinema Club have released ‘Sleep Alone’ as our first insight into their upcoming album, Beacon, to be released on 3rd September 2012. The single introduces us to the Northern Irish trio’s promised ‘deeper and more emotional’ second album that they told NME was a continuation of the sound and personality they used the ‘Tourist History’ (their first album) to develop. It seems Two Door Cinema Club haven’t lost their sound, thank god! To me their signature rhythm, (that while some find quite repetitive on all the tracks, I can’t get enough of) and the distinctiveness of Alex Trimble’s voice are to be treasured and it looks like, from the sound of Sleep Alone, I won’t be disappointed in hoping that the second album won’t stray too far from the first.

If you’re already a Two Door fan the band promise not disappoint with their  it’s-about-time second album, and I only hope it’s reception is as positive as Tourist History’s – although I have no qualms about buying it myself!

Whether TDCC is a new discovery for you or not, check out Sleep Alone. Enjoy!
