P!nk’s new album ‘The Truth About Love’ was released 13th September with this LA showcase taking place on the 17th which sees P!nk performing some of her new material from her sixth studio album with collaborations from Lilly Allen and Eminem. After a three year break due to her pregnancy P!nk will go back on tour in 2013 – the first time since her ‘Funhouse’ tour in 2008.
I’ve made it no secret that I adore P!nk. Although I blog about bands and artists that you may never have heard before or maybe are just crawling up the ladder and you haven’t heard enough of on my Blogger blog, I never ever get bored of P!nk. I’m not even going to say she’s my guilty pleasure because I’d shout it from the rooftops if you wanted me to. So, no one is more excited about her new album ‘The Truth About Love’ as much as me. Her debut track from the album after her 3 year break ‘Blow Me (One Last Kiss)’ makes me so happy it’s unreal. I have no idea why but it always just makes me want to get up and dance. Once more, I think her album has this whole different meaning which you sort of get when she’s performing the tracks from it.
I watched her iTunes Festival performance online and she just seems so much more happier singing her new songs than her older ones. I’m sure she likes revisiting them but this album I think is one to sort of put that in the past. I think everybody knows she sings the truth and those songs sort of don’t really matter anymore. When I watched her interview with Alan Carr and also on Radio 1 she seems very content with who she has in her life at the moment and this album is a way for her to let loose and enjoy herself after the whole giving birth to a child thing.
You’ll see what I mean when you watch ‘Blow Me (One Last Kiss)’ which she performed at her LA showcase…
She also did…
‘All We All We Are’
‘How Come You’re Not Here’
‘Try’
‘Slut Like You’
Seeing P!nk on her Funhouse tour in Liverpool was my first ever gig at maybe 15 and it was full of amazing shit. She done major stunts with a trapeze, fucking swinging curtains – it was crazy and I was so excited. I fell completely in love with this woman at the age of 13 (if that’s possible). Obviously as I’ve grown up I’ve realised I’m not really into the whole girl thing and completely game for the dick but gheeeeeze, that’s how much I liked her music.
Honestly can’t wait for her to go back on the road.
